About DCS Technologies

DCS Technologies is a service based company with a Managed Print Services focus. With coverage including the general Cincinnati, Dayton, Springfield, and Columbus markets, we provice service-based product solutions.  From basic time and material printer and copier multifunction repair to complete software based print tracking/monitoring programs for your entire printing platform; we offer an assortment of services and equipment as a single source provider for all document needs.

The history of DCS Technologies dates back to 1979, when founded in Dayton, Ohio with a mission to provide customized software solutions for small business professionals. While continuing to evolve, it eventually developed into the business of building computer “boxes” to run customized software applications. Interestingly, this concept was all implemented prior to IBM’s introduction of the “PC” concept.

By 1985, market developments created the demand for a supply source of microcomputers and printers. DCS responded by building what would eventually become a national business, providing printer ribbons, diskettes, and other consumable supplies.

In 1992, this growth facilitated the inception of our current laser printer service and support group, and the subsequent creation of an authorized printer technician service team.

In 1994 and 1998, DCS acquired two companies to expand on the complete business solutions computer market. These new offerings included consulting services, network system design, system construction, and on-going system integration management and support.

In 2005, DCS expanded service into other printer technologies, including wide format plotters and thermal printers.   With limited service options available in our coverage area, we have filled  a market need and niche with this integral part of our current offering.

In 2012, DCS recognized the opportunity to become a complete print management service provider and stepped into the multifunction copier realm as a full line Toshiba dealer. Success was immediate with many existing customers recognizing the value of DCS managing both printers and multi-function copiers as a single source vendor.

As our multifunction growth continued, DCS also acquired the Sharp product line in 2014, becoming a full line service dealer/distributor for both Sharp and Toshiba manufacturers.

Today, the DCS Technologies mission remains strong:  Create a great client experience by “minding the store” for our clients print environment. Keeping them out of the responsibility loop (makes us good), but in the communication loop (makes us great).
